I am writing this post from my brand new desk (woohoo)! I finally set up a little area in our house to be my “home office.” It’s really just a desk and a chair on one side of our dining room, but hey, it’s a lot better than blogging from the sofa...or the floor. So far, I have this desk from Amazon (in white) and this chair from Overstock. I’ll share some photos of my setup soon! But first, I thought I’d share some of my inspiration, and my wish list of awesome office items.

I want my area to have a similar feel to these--bright, cheerful, and simple. Not too much clutter, and definitely not too corporate feeling. Especially since my “office” is right in the dining room, I want it to blend with the rest of our home decor and feel like a part of the room as a whole.

I love how colorful all of these spaces are! That gold L-shaped pencil holder is pretty fabulous too.

     Yes! Do it. There are a lot of cute, little desks out there that aren't too expensive. This one from Amazon isn't that great of quality (it's particle board underneath), but it's simple and does the trick. Plus, mine came with a chip in it so I got an extra 30% off, which is totally fine by me :)

   we have the CB2 file cabinet and have been really impressed by its size + quality. definitely recommend it! keep an eye out for sales.

     Yay! I'm glad to hear it--I think it's SO cute. Practical, and it can sit out in the main part of the house without looking out of place. I'll definitely be looking for sales!

   Must have office supplies for me are a notepad, pens, scissors & stapler (pretty standard I guess) and some vintage finds to organize all the "boring" stuff. But when you have gold handled scissors and fun pens it doesn't feel boring :) Now I'm inspiring to go declutter my desk. Pronto.

   I recently gave my desk a facelift and I got a lamp similar to that Wayfair one, but it's white with brass accents and from Ikea! I absolutely love it –
